Aadha number is mandatory for various activities to start accounting for banking, cooking kiosk, and subsidy, income tax payments. Now the government has declared a mandate to register a person’s death.
The Registrar General’s Office, which operates under the Union Home Ministry, said:
To register the death also, The Aadhaar number is mandatory for registration of the death from October 1 to prevent identity fraud. This applies to all other States in India except Jammu-Kashmir, Assam, and Meghalaya. Only three states will be issued a separate announcement.
Aadha number is necessary to prove the identity of the dead when registering the death. Thus, on October 1, the Aadhaar number is mandatory for registration of death.
Aadhar number is used to ensure the loyalty of the relatives, the relatives or friends of the deceased persons.
This is the right way to prevent identity fraud. It will also help to record the identity of the deceased person. Providing various documents to prove the identity of the deceased person will be avoided.
The Registrar General said in the order issued to all states: – If not Aadhaar,The person applying for the death certificate should submit the Aadhaar number or Admission Identification Number (EIT) of the deceased person and details in the application. But if the applicant does not know about the deceased’s admission number or the admission number of the deceased, the person who knew the dead person should not be certified by the Aadhaar number.
If the applicant gives the wrong information, he will be considered as a criminal offender and the birth and death registration act. The deceased’s husband or wife or parent must obtain the applicant’s Aadhaar number with Aadhaar number.
The Registrar General’s Office will act as a central authority to co-ordinate and cooperate with the Office of the Chief Registrar of all State Births.
Railway co-ordinator Rajen Kohin said in reply to a question in the upper house of Delhi, “For now, the Aadhaar number is not mandatory for the train tickets. But on January 1, senior citizens are checked by Aadhar card to get a Rail Ticket Fee. “
