Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that monsoon rains in Kerala are 29.1 per cent deficient.
Speaking at the Kerala Legislative Assembly, Pinarayi Vijayan said, “From June through August 16, the rain has a monsoon deficit of 29.1 per cent.
After the monsoon rains, the government has decided to set up a government committee for water management.
Electricity generation may be affected due to lack of rain.
The state’s major hydro power projects in the Idukki and Wayanad Trivandrum Brahmam areas are in the range of 36,59,35 per cent.
