Fourth Manufacturing Assembly in Narsapur For HONDA INDIA

India has become the biggest global production hub for two-wheelers of Japanese Motor based company Honda with the ceremony of a fourth assembly line at the Narsapura plant of Indian arm.

It records the overall annual production of 64 lakhs production unit.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has also become Honda’s single biggest manufacturing plant with an overall capacity of 24 lakh units annually and with an additional of 6 lakhs production unit.

Honda India has also invested  ₹606.5 crore on the fourth line assembly in Narsapura, and the company has invested ₹2,600 crore till date and nearly 7000 employees are working at the plant.

Their first assembly line in the manufacturing unit was established in the year 2013.

The Asia and Oceania Chief Officer Regional Operations Shinji Aoyama said,”India is leading the demand in company’s two-wheeler business which is spread over 120 countries”.

In the period of 2016-1=2017 India alone contributed 28 per cent to Honda’s global two-wheeler sales and it is the number one contributed to Honda’s two-wheeler business.

The production hub in Narsapur, India will overtake Indonesia which has a production capacity of 58 lakh units per annum.

HMSI’s investments would help the India to become as No one manufacture in the hub through their steady investment.

Apart from Bengaluru, HMSI also has manufacturing plants in Haryana, Tapukara and Vithalpur.
