The Supreme Court upheld the final hearing on the appeals petitions challenging the final judgment of the Cauvery Water Disputes Act.
Four states, including Tamilnadu and Karnataka, have appealed to the Supreme Court to oppose the final judgment of the Cauvery Water Disputes Act.
The final investigation into these petitions is being held before the Judges Deepak Mishra, Amitavarai and AM Kanwal.

The judge said that the court hearing of the Cauvery case would be postponed to 30 by the time frame of the court proceedings and the extensive inquiry into the case.
Judge Deepak Mishra has been appointed as the new Chief Justice, after Supreme Court Chief Justice JS Kherar’s term ends. Therefore, it is noteworthy that he will hear the case as Chief Justice of the case on 30th.
