The Kerala High Court on Monday dismissed the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) imposition of life ban of S.SreeShanth in the 2013 IPL spot-fixing scandal.
The court ordered the sentence when the court accepetd the written petition from sreesanth to challenge the decision of the BCCI disciplinary commitee.
In that petition, Sreesant Stated that the imposition of life ban against him was taken on the basis of a report prpepared by the officer who was appointed by the BCCI at that time. He also stated that the judgement was not taken in the view of the natural law and justice. He also added to his statement, The BCCI refused to lift the ban against me even the Delhi Sessions court has discharged me from the crime which was related to the spot-fixing in the year 2015.
The BCCI has refused to comment on Sreesanth’s plea that he had appealed against the judgment of the Delhi Police’s Sessions Court in the Delhi High Court.
The BCCI further said that the decision of the Sessions Court to dismiss petition from criminal charges has not made any impact on the decisions of the CCI’s internal disciplinary committee.
