The Prime Minister addressed Parliament on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Quit India Movement.
He promised that poverty, corruption and illiteracy would be taken care of in the next five years.
“The year 2022 is 75 years after the country’s independence. In 1942-47, there was a need to create the same sense of feeling between 2017-2022.
In 1942, it was a call for everyone to Do or die, and today we have to make sure that we will do it. Therefore, the period from 2017 to 2022 is the time to complete the goals.
Poverty, illiteracy, and malnutrition are the major challenges to this country. It has to come up with positive changes.
Corruption has been a major step in the country’s growth journey. Corruption has eroded from our country. We are committed to abolishing this.
India’s liberation from colonialism is not just India, but a decisive moment of colonization in other parts of the world.
Similarly, the changes that India will bring in the next 5 years should be an inspiration for other countries.
Today we will remember those who sacrificed for the nation and will advance their dreams, “Modi said.
