The present term of office in Gujarat constitution assembly ends in next January (2018) on January 22. Similarly, Karnataka’s constitution assembly term of office ends on May 28. So, in both the states, the Assembly elections are expected to be held at the end of this year or at the beginning of the year 2018.
BJP has announced the state’s responsibility to prepare the party for these elections. They are in full swing to capture the majority seats on both the place. Accordingly, Gujarat State Election Commissioner Arun Jaitley and HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar have been appointed to Karnataka.
