Mookuthi Amman is an upcoming Tamil devotional Comedy film directed by N. J. Saravanan and RJ Balaji. RJ Balaji wrote the script and stars as the male lead, while Nayanthara stars as the title character. Expected to release on Disney+ Hotstar during Diwali. The theme od the movie as Balaji described Mookuthi Amman having “all the elements that were there in the devotional films that we grew up watching.” He said it would be “a nostalgic trip, but there will also be a takeaway that is relevant, especially in this present times” without satirising the genre.The film will be scheduled for a digital release on Disney+ Hotstar on the occasion of Diwali day, 14 November 2020.
