The Supreme Court’s Sessions Court, which inquired into the case filed against Aadhar, had yesterday ruled that ‘personal privacy is a fundamental right.’
This ruling of the Supreme Court has shocked the federal government as it has been compulsory for various subsidies and welfare schemes.
So, the central ministers were in a hurry to discuss the next steps and possible mechanisms in this matter.
Accordingly, Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and Prime Minister’s Chief Secretary Niripendra Mishra met Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.
Earlier, Ajay Bhushan Pandey, the chief executive officer of Aadhaar card, met Central Services Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and Arunjetle.
The officials refused to comment on these meetings. The Supreme Court, however, said the central government is examining the verdict of the Supreme Court.
