TAMIL NADU CHIEF JUSTICE MUTHUKUMARASAMY RESIGNED

Muthukumarasamy, 70, is the Chief Justice of the Government of Tamil Nadu, has written a letter to the Government of Tamil Nadu to resign due to physical condition.

Muthukumarasamy has given various governmental recommendations, including a monthly parole to the Perarivalan who has been serving jail in Rajiv Gandhi for the last 26 years.

Chief Prosecutor Muthukumarasamy has resigned from the court due to the state of affairs in various courts against the government.

Muthukumarasamy, who took over as the Chief Justice of the Government of Tamil Nadu last August, 2016, has served as the Special Advocate of the Government of Tamil Nadu in 1994.

He has also served as additional Chief Justice of the Government of Tamil Nadu from 2001 to 2006.

Following his resignation, information has been made that Senior Advocate Wijayanarayanan will be appointed as Chief Justice of the Government of Tamil Nadu.
